John Wight
from syn_arts: "
There is very little I know about John Wight, except he's 15 years old and apparently lives in Alaska. His solo work is used as an experimental side project, differentiating from his band in the Prog/Avant-Garde band The White Buffalo?s Collision Tape & The Incision Magician. His sound is hard to describe, but has elements of drone, noise, ambient, metal and electronic, usually all in one piece. Eggfast?s debut The Dark Matter was Wight?s first release on the synesthetic_arts label, but he has been known to use other pseudonyms, such as Manta XII, The Maggots in the Scarecrow's Eye, The Dronedog in God's Eye & The Desert Isolated Statue Under the Dissonant Sky. He is also a little odd."
Releases under my name vary musically, as with my other projects.
Eggfast
This was my original name for my solo project, under which I released my debut "The Dark Matter" and later on the filler-filled "Platypus Eggnog".
The Maggots In the Scarecrow's Eye
This was the name under which I released two experimental harsh noise albums, "BeaRs, Apes... Midnight Sunrise" and "Blizzard Bot".
Deathmonk
My most recent alias for harsh noise releases, I've released Psychedelic Pilgrim and Arabesque Noise Walls Split (with Violence Cotton Drone), you can find them in "Non-synesthetic releases".
Manta XII
This was/is for releasing miscellanious tracks, demos, my early works, and outtakes. Most of this stuff was ambient and folk. Manta XII has 7 EPS and one demo: The White Tree, Traveling the World Alone in Happiness, Metal Clown, Fistfull of Fingers, Solace Sleep, Fusion, Bowler Thief, and Cold Coffee/Zen Outtakes.
Khallahk
This was me and my friend's ("Candlegoat") drone doom metal project inspired mostly by Sunn O))). We released: Spectres of Zhaghill EP, Chordata Vienna, DragOns on the Wharf, and Heimaspheras1. This project might continue in a much better incarnation as "Obelisk" or maybe "Monolith".
The Dronedog of God's Eye
This moniker was created specifically for drone releases, each album had one song lasting over 30 minutes.
The Desert.../The Nomad's Book
I used these names for my splits with Leo Brookes (Sound Dunes, Galaxy Rainbow, Caiseach) where we had the tradition to use different aliases each split. It was mostly drone stuff... you can find the splits on the discography page.
Demoniclistrophorms
This is my band. THE band. An avant-everything/grindcore-freejazz-ambient/black metal/post-rock insanity. Well, that's what I hope our debut will be like (which by the time of it's release we will have been working on it for at least 4 or 5 years). Anyway, we released one demo (The Lightning Ghost) that kind of sucked, but that's why it's a demo and not released as an actual album... anyway we have a TON of unreleased outtakes from playing for a while. We may release it as more "demo"s.
